Ariana Grande's controversial Beauty and the Beast theme song has a video now

The video of the new theme song from Emma Watson’s upcoming Beauty and the Beast, sung by Ariana Grande and John Legend has been released.

The world premiere of the new version aired on Freeform for Disney’s upcoming live action film, reported Billboard.

The original was recorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson for the 1991 animated movie of the same name.

Grande can be seen sitting in front of Legend who is playing the piano, interspersed with the titular characters performing a romantic waltz in a scene from the film.

The trailer version had a full orchestra backing the powerful voices of John Legend and Ariana Grande, which seem to be missing from the album version. As soon as the song was uploaded on YouTube, the fans were vocal about their dislike of the music.

The movie stars Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast, along with Luke Evans and Josh Gad, among others.

The movie hits theatres on March 17.
