    Indian cricket team’s massive win in 1983 against West Indies will always be memorable. The then team was led by cricketer Kapil Dev. And when we hear the 1983 win, the one thing which strikes everyone’s mind is Kapil Dev lifting the World Cup trophy. The final match took place at Lords Stadium, London.

    Well, we good news for all those who wish to see that iconic moment. Filmmaker Kabir Khan is planning to recreate that classic moment by making a movie based on it. And to play the role of Kapil Dev, the filmmaker has approached actor Arjun Kapoor.

    "A mammoth event is being planned to announce the film on September 27. The makers hope that the Indian players who brought the cup home will grace the occasion,” revealed a source. Earlier there were reports that either Ranveer Singh or Hrithik Roshan will essay Kapil Dev, however, later Kabir zeroed on in Arjun.

    According to reports, the movie is titled World Cup 1983 and will be produced by Phantom Films and Vishnu Vardhan Induri, who is the founder and managing director of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). Rumours are doing rounds that National Award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan will write the script.
