Arjun Kapoor to team up with R. Balki for his latest project

The grapevine has it that Arjun Kapoor will collaborate with Shamitabh director R. Balki, for his latest project. "The film will roll this year for sure. Balki who introduced a new face, Akshara Haasan, in Shamitabh, is looking for a more established actress for this film so her dates will have to match. Arjun is really kicked about the project because all his love stories so far -- Ishaqzaade, 2 States and even Finding Fanny -- have been intense. This one is a light-hearted love story with lots of laughs and he can't wait to get started", a source told Mumbai Mirror.

The duo struck up a deal earlier this month, when they met to discuss the project and a deal was quickly finalised. The movie has been described as a romantic-comedy. This project will see Balki returning to the genre of romance after Cheeni Kum, which did not fare well at the box office.

Arjun Kapoor was last seen in debutant director Amit Sharma's Tevar. The 29-year-old actor will now team up with the Shamitabh director for the rom-com. R. Balki would have high hopes of this film, after the release of Shamitabh, earlier this year. The movie focussed on two artistes, and despite the presence Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush, the film proved out to be a failure at the box office.
