Arjun Rampal’s 'Daddy' Will Not Have Any Item Song

Everyone is aware of Arjun Rampal’s next movie ‘Daddy’ is based on gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli’s life. Besides acting, Arjun is also producing the film. Rather than choosing a popular filmmaker to direct the film, Arjun decided to go for a non commercial director like Ashim Ahluwalia, who has previously directed critically acclaimed film Miss Lovely, to direct Daddy.

So now if you are thinking that you will be able to see item number in the flick, like most gangster films have, so let us tell you that the movie will be sans item number. Both Arjun and Ashim decided not to have an item number to sell the film. “Yes, Ashim had these apprehensions, and so did I.I didn’t want an item song, any bare body fight sequences or jumping off the roof with cables. Even though it might sound exciting, what impressed me was this person’s journey,” says Arjun.

Ashim said, “I asked Arjun to co-produce the movie, as it was the only way to protect the film. Else, studios will always have their agendas.”Apart from Arjun, the movie will also star Farhan Akhtar and Aishwarya Rajesh.
