Arvind Swami, Ram Charan might reunite for Mani Ratnam's next

Having worked together in 2016’s big Telugu hit Dhruva, actors Ram Charan and Arvind Swami are most likely to reunite for Mani Ratnam’s next film. We had already reported that the Roja filmmaker is planning an action film with Ram Charan, and HT has learnt from sources that Arvind has been roped in for a pivotal role.

“Ram Charan plays a RAW agent in the film. Arvind Swami, though yet to officially sign the project, will be seen in a key role. Mani sir is currently busy with the release of Kaatru Veliyidai, and hence, has been tight-lipped about this project. An announcement can be expected on this project soon after the release of Kaatru Veliyidai. In fact, Mani sir has already begun work on the pre-production of this film,” a source told HT.

Tipped to be a bilingual film, the project will be jointly produced by Ram Charan and Ratnam’s Madras Talkies. AR Rahman has already been confirmed as the composer. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon. The regular shooting is expected to commence from August and the team is eyeing an early release next year.
