Unlike a lot of TV stars who are keen on participating in reality shows for the kind of reach they have, actor Eijaz Khan feels he is not cut out for such shows. Eijaz says he’s rather happy doing fiction shows with interesting plots.

“Though I have nothing against reality shows, but they aren’t my cup of tea. I don’t think I am made of that fabric. Those who are interested in such shows are very different kinds of actors. It’s a no filter zone. Given the fact that I’m an emotional person, reality shows could easily capitalise on me. But on a serious note, as an artist, I would rather prefer some kind of mystery around myself,” says Eijaz.

Elaborating his point, the Kkavyanjali-famed actor adds, “Reality shows expose too much about a person. If my audiences get to see everything about me on screen, then maybe next time when I portray a character, they might try and relate the same with my real self that they’ve seen on a reality show. That way, the charm of the character I am playing can get lost.”

Eijaz, who has been striking a balance between films and TV, says he would continue to do so in future as well. “After Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) and Shorgul (2016), I have been getting film offers. But I don’t plan to take them up for the next five- six months at least. At present, I want to concentrate on my current show and develop my character in it,” he says. The actor will be seen playing a 40-year-old Mukhi in his next show Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dahgey that goes on air towards the end of March 2017.
