Asha Parekh Believes This Actress Is Perfect To Play Her In Her Biopic

One of the most versatile actresses of Hindi cinema, Asha Parekh, has penned down her autobiography titled ‘Asha Parekh: The Hit Girl’. Co-written by film critic Khalid Mohamed, the book was launched recently by Aamir Khan. Ask Asha if a biopic on her life is in the offing, here is what she replies.

“Let the people decide after reading the book if they would want to see my life on screen. I cannot say anything on that”, Asha stated. When asked who she would like to see essaying her on screens, she replied, “Alia Bhatt will be the right person. She is chulbul – all bubbly kind of girl – which I used to be during my growing up years”.

The 74-year-old actress has worked with several evergreen stars. She recalled the impact she had on her as she co-starred with top actors. She stated, “I’ve always taken a lot of inspiration from every actor I have worked with but Shammi Kapoor was the one who helped me in many ways. Like, I did not know how to lip sync, he taught me how to sing the songs in a film. All the expressions during the song and singing and feeling the song, I have learnt that from him”.

On a related note, the book launch event was also graced by the presence of veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha. The book has been published by Om Books International.
