Asha Parekh follows Lata Mangeshkar as victim to death hoax

Twitter has been falsely killing veterans of Bollywood, of late. On Wednesday it was legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who was said to have suffered from a fatal heart attack but later her official page confirmed that she is pretty healthy. Now it’s veteran actress Asha Parekh’s turn to become the new victim of the same prank.

After the death news of Nanda broke out, social networking platforms have been fond of spreading these kinds of detrimental rumours. Little later tweets arrived that Parekh is doing fine. Adah Sharma, who played a supporting role in Hasee to Phasee tweeted in confirmation, “Asha Parekh is hail and hearty ! Just spoke to her! Stop spreading rumours !!!” Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was one of those people who came to believe the rumours but later apologised. He tweeted, “Sincerest apology to Ms Parekh..won't trust one news source anymore...imp lesson learnt.”
