Baahubali 2: News posters of Amarendra, Devasena set the stage for big release

The buzz around Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which releases this Friday, has reached its peak already, and director SS Rajamouli’s ensured there’s no let up in the hysteria by releasing two new posters of the film over Wednesday and Thursday. The first one shows Amarendra Baahubali (the senior king), played by Prabhas, in royal regalia.

The background is drenched in brown dust with the outline of the palace behind the king. His blue-purple silken clothes and the pearls tell us of a man of royal birth. His long and loose hair-in-the-wind look adds to the allure.

The second poster is that of Devasena: dressed in blue sari and loaded in gold, the queen is seated by a window that overlooks a valley, with palaces and pavilions in the background. The architecture is uniquely Indian, complete with ornate arches and heavy curtains. The intricately carved seat on which Devasena is seated adds to the touch.

The second part of the Baahubali franchise, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion releases on April 28 and the craze for the film is unprecedented. Fans have been queuing up in front of multiplexes in Hyderabad since 6 am on Wednesday. The film, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, will finally answer why Kattappa killed Baahubali.
