There’s no stopping SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion at the box-office. After emerging as the highest grossing Indian film of all time with earnings over Rs 1000 crore and still counting, the film is set to breach into Rs 150 crore club in Telugu states Andhra and Telangana. It will be the first Telugu film to achieve this rare feat. According to trade sources, the film had collected a share of Rs 147 crore in the two states as on Tuesday.

In India, too, the film has set many records. It is the first dubbed Hindi film to breach into the Rs 100 crore club. In its first week, it surpassed the collections of Bollywood biggies such as Dangal and Sultan. Baahubali 2 has broken the record of its own predecessor with the opening weekend numbers, much to the surprise of the makers who couldn’t quite make profits from the first part. In the south, the film is having a golden run. The film has put up an impressive show in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka with combined earnings of over Rs 200 crore so far and counting. Following the film’s tremendous run, several films in other south Indian languages deferred their release by two weeks.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, the film is produced by Arka Media Works. In the US, the film has become the biggest Indian blockbuster, smashing competition from Hollywood effortlessly. As on Tuesday, the film collected a whopping $17 million (Rs 1.7 crores).
