Bang Bang to get widest worldwide release with 4500 prints

Bang Bang to get widest worldwide release with 4500 prints

On October 2 when Bang Bang will hit the silver screens, it will become the first Indian film to have such a magnanimous wide release. The film is releasing with 4500 prints all across the globe and is setting a new record. The Hrithik-Katrina starrer has already ignited a blaze like excitement owing to its extravaganza and thrill.

The Siddharth Anand film is being looked as the hugest prospect of the year so far with a lot eyes stuck on it. The film has a few records in sight to break if it gets the speculated opening with numbers. With record prints, national holiday and a five day weekend, the film has a good chance to become the highest opener ever, the title which is currently held by Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3. The makers would surely be hoping for the film to cross 200 crores given the kind of commercial element it brings to the table. Hrithik’s last release Krrish 3 was quite an earner and garnered around 240 crores with its theatrical run. Hrithik would at least look to get close to that figure if not too ahead.

Even the business heads are contemplating the film has a good chance to hit records. “Bang Bang is going to be huge! There is an incredible anticipation for the movie and the advance bookings across all PVR screens is really good. Certainly the hottest film of 2014, we are expecting a massive day one and the 5 day holiday weekend should result in record breaking numbers,” PVR COO Gautam Dutta said. The COO of Big Cinemas Ashish Saxena had similar things to say, “Bang Bang looks to be the biggest film of the year, both in terms of its look as well as the timing of the release, with an extended 5 day weekend. We have opened the advances and the response has been more than terrific- both off the counters as well as in terms of block bookings from corporates. We expect this to become the biggest film of the year looking at the audience response,” he said. While the release of the film is just two days away, the trade industry is gearing up to make space for a grand weekend. Let’s find out soon!
