'Bareilly Ki Barfi' Release Date Postponed To August

Ayushmann Khurrana and Kirti Sanon starrer 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' will now release on a new date. The movie which was earlier scheduled to release on July 21 will now hit the theatres on August 18, 2017. Apart from Kirti and Ayushmann, the flick will also star Rajkummar Rao in a prominent role.

The movie has been directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, while her husband Nitesh Tiwari, who directed the much acclaimed Dangal, has written the script. 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' is a rom-com which is set in Bareilly, a city in Uttar Pradesh. The movie revolves around three people who are in search of finding true love.

About her role in the movie, Kirti said, "It's a very tomboyish character. She is a girl living in Bareilly but doing things on her own terms. She is someone who is quite bratty and who questions the basic norms." She adds “What I really like about the film is also the fact that every relationship is shown very nicely… Also, for me to play a UP girl was very fresh.” Though she is from Bareilly, but is different from other girls in the city. The actress will also be seen doing break dance in the movie.
