    Before Mersal’s Aalaporaan Thamizhan lands, teaser of this Vijay song is a hit

    The makers of Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Mersal on Wednesday evening released an audio teaser of Aalaporaan Thamizhan and in no time it caught on. The brief 30-second teaser gives a glimpse of the song which will be unveiled later on Thursday.

    With energy-exuding beats and lyrics that hint at Tamil pride, the teaser is a hit (1,602,036 views) and the song is still to come. Composed by double Oscar winner AR Rahman and penned by Vivek, the song speaks about being a Tamilian and is a call for unity.

    It has been sung by Kailash Kher, Sathya Prakash, Deepak and Pooja AV.




    Mersal, produced by Sri Thenandal Films, will see Vijay play a triple role. He will appear as a farmer, a magician and a panchayat head. The third look from the film was unveiled on Wednesday, which shows Vijay playing Holi. Three posters have been released so far. In the first poster, which was revealed sometime back, Vijay was shown as a panchayat head. He sports a twirled moustache. The poster had a reference to Jallikattu row that rocked the state in January this. This portion of the film is said to be set in 1980s. In the second poster, Vijay appears as a magician, a role for which he learnt some tricks.

    Mersal stars three leading ladies -- Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen.

    Directed by Atlee, the film is expected to release during Diwali.
