Begum’s Role Extended After Tabu Replaced Rekha: Abhishek Kapoor

Abhishek Kapoor helmed upcoming Indian romantic drama film, Fitoor, has been long speculated in media for Rekha Ji opting out of the film mid-day after difference of opinion with the director on some scenes shot. Thereafter, Tabu, who is stealing all the limelight with her stellar performances in several films, replaced the veteran actress in the role. Recently, the director has revealed that after Rekha has walked out of the project, the role has been extended for Tabu.

Talking about the disagreement with Rekha during the shoot, Kapoor said, “It was disappointing for both of us”. He also explained about the prevailing rumour, “Yes, Begum's role has increased after Tabu came, as the character needs a lot more understanding. The general interpretation is that she's crazy but our perception is different”.

About Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif, who will be seen as the lead pair in the film, he said, “They make an amazing jodi. He did his best to look the part and she impressed me with her dedication and desire to do good work”. Fitoor is scheduled to hit the theatres on February 12.
