Behrupiya actor Ashraful Haque passes away at 46

Actor Ashraful Haque who has been a part of various critically acclaimed movies like Fukrey, Traffic Signal and The Lost Behrupiya, passed away at Sunita Hospital in Mumbai. The actor was suffering from bone marrow cancer for the last two years and was going through intensive treatment. He was 46.

"He died at 1:27 PM. He was kept on a ventilator for last three days. But he was declared dead today," his friend told media. Graduated from National School of Drama, the Assam-born actor started his career with theatres. His movie The Lost Behrupiya received many awards and accolades including the National Film Award. He also appeared in other hit films like Company, Jungle, Deewaar, Dil Kya Kare, Calcutta Mail, Black Friday, Delhi Belly and Paan Singh Tomar.

The talented actor is survived by his wife and a son. May his soul rest in peace!
