Being a hardcore romantic, I feel I'd be good at rom-coms: Manjari Fadnnis

Manjari Fadnnis is happy the way her career has shaped up since Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004). She is content with everything she has learnt as an artiste. Calling her journey an interesting one the actor shares that it took her time to prove her capabilities.

“My journey has been a beautiful one. Though slow, but I guess, at the end, what matters is the kind of work you’ve done. And I am happy with the kind of films I’ve been doing. I still remember when I started my journey, I was told that the film industry is a big bad world. But my experience says that it’s like any other working place. Being an outsider I must say that I’ve learnt a lot,” says the actor.

Along with Bollywood, Manjari has been doing Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali films. The actor says that language isn’t a barrier; rather she is more interested in the kind of roles she is doing. “I don’t want to restrict myself to any particular type of role. I want to essay roles that trigger my creative juices. I’m open to anything that excites me. Being a hard core romantic, I feel I would be good at rom-coms. I also enjoy comedies,” says Manjari, who is looking forward to the release of two of her films this year. While the first one is a dark comedy, the second one is a mystery thriller.
