    Bhuban Majhi: Film based on Bangladesh's liberation war to be screened in Agart...

    Bhuban Majhi, a movie based on Bangladesh 1971 Liberation war is set to be screened in Agartala.

    This is the first time the movie is going to be screened in India. The show will take place on April 30 at Agartala’s Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan.

    Directed by the young Bangladeshi filmmaker Fakhrul Arefeen Khan, the movie has been screened in several international cities like Paris, Sydney and Canberra after it was released on March 3 in Bangladesh. It will also be screened an event called Poraner Gohin Bhitor, held in honour of renowned Bengali folk artist Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya, who was killed in a a road mishap in Bengal’s Hooghly district on March 7.

    Bhattacharya composed songs for Bhuban Majhi.

    Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will be present at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan. The director will be accompanied by actors Aparna Ghosh, Maznun Mizan and Shubhasish Bhowmik.

    Bhuban Majhi also stars Tollywood’s Parambrata Chatterjee who plays a folk singer who is inspired by a young lady called Farida (played by Aparna Ghosh) to take part in the historic war.
