    Bhumi Padnekar Talks About Why She Was Away From Silver Screen After Her Debut Film

    Actress Bhumi Padnekar was last seen in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ which released in 2015.  Although the film was a superhit but the actress was not seen on the silver screen. However, the actress is now back with a bang with not one but two releases this year.

    Her two movies include 'Toilet - Ek Prem Katha' and 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' which are all set to release in August this year. While in 'Toilet - Ek Prem Katha' she is paired with Akshay Kumar, 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' will see the actress working with her debut film’s co-star, Ayushmann Khurrana. 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' is a remake Tamil comedy Kalyana Samayal Saadham and is helmed by the same director, RS Prasanna, who directed the original.

    While we think that the actress was away from the silver screen but she has something else to say. The actress said, “After 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', I did need some time to knock off my weight and I was lucky to get that. After that in the last one year, I have been shooting back-to-back for 'Toilet - Ek Prem Katha'and 'Shubh Mangal Savdhan'. In fact, I have been away from home for the last seven months and returned to Mumbai only a few days ago after wrapping up 'Shubh Mangal Savdhan'.”
