Bhumi Pednekar wants a family, but not sure if marriage would be a part of it

Bhumi Pednekar was flooded with marriage proposals right after she made her acting debut with Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015 where she played a newly-married woman, but the actor, with her family’s consent, turned them down. Ahead of her second film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, when asked if she’s prepared for marriage now, Bhumi says that she is still unsure about marriage but would love to have a family. “ I have just started my journey in the film industry. I am young. Of course, I would want a family in future, but I don’t know if marriage would be part of it,” says Bhumi.

So do her plans include children? “Ya...in like in 10 years. If you ask me today, there is nothing happening for the next 10 years,” laughs the actor.

The actor is in Delhi shooting for her next film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Talking about being paired with her first co-star, Ayushmann, yet again, Bhumi says that their comfort off-screen translates into their chemistry on-screen. “Working him (Ayushmann), is great, as we gel well. We are friends and have no inhibitions. We joke and fool around, and critique each others’ work. We help each other during shooting and ask for opinions. We are very comfortable with each other,” says the actor.

Bhumi will also be seen in the film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, alongside actor Akshay Kumar and adds that she is already on the lookout for her next project. “I have my next film Toilet... releasing soon. I am reading scripts actively I am lucky to have good work sent to me. There are things in the pipeline,” informs Bhumi.
