    Vidya Balan has expressed the will but not confirmed of her playing the Carnatic music legend M.S. Subbulakshmi in a biographical film by cinematographer and filmmaker Rajiv Menon who is well known for directing critically acclaimed Tamil films likeMinsara KanavuandKandukondain Kandukondain.

    The 34-year-old stated, “M.S. Subbulakshmi is one of the greatest exponents of Carnatic classical music. Half of the country or more have woken up to her suprabhatam for decades now. If I do get to play her I will be extremely honoured. There are talks on and that's all I will say.” “Especially as a South Indian, I think it will be the biggest honour if I get to play M.S. Subbulakshmi,” she added.
