Blackbuck poaching case: Sonali Bendre escapes witnesses’s eye, Tabu fades out

Actors Sonali Bendre and Tabu made an appearance at a court in Jodhpur yesterday during the hearing of the blackbuck poaching case of 1998. The case also involves Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Neelam apart from the two. Eyewitness Poonam Chand was cross examined by the defence where she refused to identify Sonali while on Tabu, she said, “she looked like Tabu.”

While the hearing was going on, public prosecutor Upendra Sharma objected, “Both the actresses were produced in the court in a manner that they look identical and that too without bringing this to the notice of the court and the prosecution. They should be produced in the court in a proper manner so that we can examine the witness in their presence.”
