Bobby Deol credits his brother Sunny for helping him build his acting career

Actor Bobby Deol truly enjoys working with his family members. The actor shared screen space with his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol in the 2011 action-comedy film Yamla Pagla Deewana. He’ll once again work with Sunny, playing brothers on screen in Shreyas Talpade’s directorial debut. “It’s always good to work with him and I’m extra comfortable with my brother. The 50-year-old played the lead in Sunny’s directorial debut Dillagi (1999) and even though the film bombed at the box-office, he calls it his best performance till date. “He knows me inside out, so he gets the best out of me,” he adds. Bobby, who credits Sunny for helping him with his career, says, “I owe my entire career to my brother, Sunny. When I was working on my debut film, my brother stopped taking new projects and put his work aside. He saw to it that my first movie was made the right way. Nobody puts their career on hold, so I am blessed to have a brother like him.”

He adds that being a son of legendary actor, Dharmendra is a bonus as well as a big responsibility. “I’m here today because of my father, because the love my father has for his fans and the love that audience has given him is unmatched. His goodwill has given me so much more fan following and love that I feel blessed,” he explains.

On whom he shares a closer bond with – his brother or father – Bobby says that’s a tough choice. “With your parents, it’s a different relationship than your siblings. You can’t choose who you are closer to. Of course, with my brother, I can discuss and confide in all because after all, we have to face our father together,” he laughs.
