Bol actress Humaima Malick wins best actress’ award at South Asian award ceremony

Bolfame Pakistani actress Humaima Malick has won the first-ever South Asian Rising Star Film Awards held in New York for her brilliant performance in the film. To win the award, which was a part of 9th annual South Asian International Film Festival, Humaima competed with Bollywood actresses Tanishtha Chatterjee, Parineeta Chopra, Rasika Dugal and Preeti Desai in the Best Lead Actress category.

Responding after receiving the honour, an excited Humaima said, "I had no idea this role would earn so much recognition. It is an amazing honour to receive another award in a foreign land for a movie that is very close to my heart. I owe the entire team ofBol, Shoaib Mansoor and my family for this achievement." The grand event was hosted byJism 2actress Sunny Leonne and US filmmaker Jay Chandrashekar and American actress Janina Gavankar, Indian film critic Rajeev Mansand, singer-songwriter Siddhartha Khosla and American actor Maulik Pancholy were the jury members.
