Bollywood actor Kajol completes shooting her portion for Dhanush's VIP2

Actor Kajol has wrapped up shooting her portions for Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattathaari 2, which marks the second directorial project of Soundarya Rajinikanth.

VIP 2 marks the comeback of Kajol, who was last seen on Tamil screen in the Rajeev Menon-directed romantic drama Minsara Kanavu in 1997. She reportedly plays the role of an industrialist and will lock horns with Dhanush in the film, which is a sequel to the blockbuster Velai Illa Pattathaari, helmed by Velraj.

An excited Soundarya Rajinikanth has said that the film’s shooting is nearing the finish line. Jointly produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, VIP 2 has music composed by Sean Roldan.

Amala Paul, Samuthirakani, Vivek and Saranya Ponvannan form the supporting cast. Sameer Thahir, who cranked the camera for acclaimed Malayalam films such as Bangalore Days and Kali, is taking care of the cinematography.
