Bollywood this Friday: Hawaa Hawaai, Manjunath, Mastram, Yeh Hai Bakrapur

This Friday will not see any big-budget release in Bollywood as the tinsel town will offer a blend of sports, satire and drama at the box-office. The titles include Hawaa Hawaai, Manjunath, Mastram and Yeh Hai Bakrapur.

Stanley Ka Dabba's child artist Partho Gupte is back again in Hawaa Hawaai as an aspiring skater. A slum-dweller at Dharavi, Partho gets immense help and support from his mentor Saqib Saleem in fulfilling his dreams. The film has been scripted and helmed by Partho’s father Amol Gupte. The second one, Manjunath, is about an IIM graduate who has been killed for fighting against an Uttar Pradesh-based oil mafia. Directed by Sandeep A. Varma, Manjunath, stars Satish Sarthy, Yashpal Sharma, Divya Dutta and Seema Biswas.

Mastram follows the life of a real life adult-novel writer who left his bank job to fulfil his dreams. In the initial stage his stories used to get rejected by the publishers. Suddenly he found the key to his success when he began writing pulp fiction. Mastram is a ‘fictional biography’ which has a cast of unknown actors who have emerged from the National School of Drama. Yeh Hai Bakrapur is a social satire which is centred on a goat named Shah Rukh. This directorial venture by Janaki Vishwanathan has taken human actors mostly from the world of theatre.
