    Bollywood welcomes Kasab's hanging

The hanging of lone surviving terrorist of 26/11 attacks, Ajmal Kasab, has been welcomed by the Bollywood. Though actor Ashish Chowdhry, who lost his sister and brother-in-law in the attacks, said there is nothing to rejoice after Kasab’s death, other celebrities thanked the Indian government for it on Twitter.

Ashish Chowdhry wrote: "In these four years of awaiting and looking upon Kasab's sentence, I can bet lacs of new Kasabs were born. Problem lies there. Rejoice, when that stops. Kasab was just an errand-boy with a gun. India is thrilled with his death, but the real culprits must be laughing at our sheer gullibility!" Mahesh Bhatt twitted: "Granting clemency to terrorists would produce a loss of public faith in the justice system, which is a pillar of any democratic society. Those who oppose capital punishment talk about the sanctity of human life. But, the murderer has already violated the sanctity of human life. Are we to say that his life has more sanctity than the life or lives he has taken? Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent. A life for so many lives! You kill and violate the sanctity of life then your life should be taken & in the same manner as the life you took. Mercy results in further crimes, which are fatal to victims who need not have been victims if justice had been put first and mercy second."
