    Boman Irani breaks down on the set of his show, gets teary-eyed


    Now we know what makes Boman Irani emotional. The actor recently broke down during the shoot of the reality show, Sabse Bada Kalakar, when the makers decided to surprise him with a video of his mother talking about him. Boman was really touched by the gesture.

    In the audio-visual, Jerbanu, Boman’s mother spoke at length about the hardships he has faced and how he had come a long way. She praised him for being her obedient son, who has always been there and is a family person. Jerbanu also said that she is proud of Boman and feels blessed to have a son like him.

    These kind words from her mother brought tears in Boman’s eyes and his co-judges, Raveena Tandon and Arshad Warsi, and anchor, Jay Bhanushali, consoled him. He also got a standing ovation from everyone on the set for being such a good son.

    “My mother actually means the world to me. She was pregnant with me when I lost my father. She has been my pillar of strength and has encouraged me in every sphere of my life – from my education to my journey of becoming an actor. Today, whatever I am, it is all because of her. Even today, she is there to guide me whenever I need someone by my side. With her, I still feel childlike, young and energetic. She truly is my inspiration,” says Boman, who is known for his films such as, Main Hoon Na (2004), Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara (2005), Heyy Babyy (2007), Housefull 3 (2016).

    The Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003) actor also shared that how her mother took him to watch good films and explained cinematography and other nuances about films. “I am a grandfather now, but still my mother keeps a check on me and even gives me pocket money. She makes me feel young at times,” he adds.
