Box office collection: Dil Dhadakne Do collects Rs. 37.5 crores

Zoya Akhtar’s much awaited movie of the year Dil Dhadakne Do sought a lukewarm opening, but by the end of the weekend, it managed to collect Rs. 36 crore. The comedy drama film collected Rs. 10.53 crores on its opening day. On Saturday, it minted Rs. 12.27 crores and on Sunday the collection was Rs. 14.25 crores.

 Although, the movie got mixed reviews from the critics, but the star studded film has become one of the few films, which started off quite well. Dil Dhadakne Do stands third after Gabbar is Back and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, noted its opening weekend collection. Further, the movie is expected to carry off its success rate to weekdays as well.

On the other hand, R. Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut’s starter Tanu Weds Manu Returns is all set to cross 150 crore mark. The film has by far collected Rs. 130 crore. With that, Tanu Weds Manu Returns have become the first movie to cross Rs. 100 crore marks in Bollywood.
