Box Office Report: Welcome Back Mints Rs. 51 crores in 3 Days

Anees Bazmee’s latest release Welcome Back might not have been able to impress the critics but the audiences have certainly loved the film. Starring John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles, the comedy drama film has minted about Rs. 51 crores over the weekend. The John Abraham starrer film is a sequel to blockbuster Welcome, which starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

The film is showing an upward trend in the box office collection, ever since it has released. The comedy film collected Rs. 14.35 crores on Friday, Rs. 17.05 crores on Saturday and Rs. 19.60 crores on Sunday, which makes a total collection of Rs. 51 crores in mere 3 days.  Not only the film has been able to hit the right chords with the Indian audiences, but has also won the hearts of audiences in Pakistan. The film minted Rs. 1.60 crores on Friday and Rs. 1.80 crore on Saturday in Pakistan.

The Firoz Nadiadwala production is expected to a great business throughout the week. However, a dip in the box office collection is predicted because of the tough competition from Salman Khan Production Hero, which stars Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in lead roles. The remake of Subhash Ghai’s film of same name will hit the theatres coming Friday.
