    Brothers Becomes Second Highest Opener after Bajrangi Bhaijaan

    Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Brothers has become the second biggest opener of the year after Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film has minted Rs. 52.08 crores over the weekend. The Karan Malhotra directorial has displaced Varun Dhawan starrer ABCD 2 (which collected Rs. 45.30 crores) from the second place.

    The action-drama film collected Rs. 15.20 crores, Rs. 21.43 crores and Rs. 15.45 crores on Friday Saturday and Sunday, respectively. This makes it the biggest ever opener for a Akshay Kumar starrer film. Although, there was a drop in the film’s collection on Sunday but it is expected that the collection will go up in the days to come. It seems that the film is all set to cross Rs. 100 crore mark soon.

    Brothers is official remake of 2011 Hollywood film Warrior. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff and Shefali Shah in pivotal roles. The story of the film revolves around 2 estranged brothers, who go against each other, and eventually square-off against each other in a mixed martial arts contest.
