Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Brothers has crossed Rs. 70 crore collection in just 1 week, which makes the Karan Malhotra directorial second highest grosser after Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The action-drama film has shattered the first week collection of films like ABCD 2, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Gabbar is Back. As of now, the film has collected Rs. 72.60 crore.

The film has been doing well at the box office from the first day of the release. A few days back Sidharth Malhotra was quoted as saying, “Collection is an indication that people are watching your film and they want to see your film. If the collection increases, it encourages actors to perform even better”.

Karan Malhotra is also happy with the flick’s performance. He said, “We worked really hard for ‘Brothers’. We were very tensed from the past two to three days thinking about how our film would perform. We are really happy to see the response and it’s a big relief for the whole team”.
