Censor board’s list of cuss words put on hold

The controversial list of cuss words brought out by the new censor board has been put on a hold for the moment after many of the members opposed such an idiotic method. The issue will further be discussed at lengths.

Headed by Pahjal Nihalani, the new censor board has recently been in news for apparently being hard lined about sexual, adult and offensive content. Though in a meeting held to discuss matters, it was brought under Nihalani’s notice that he doesn’t have the authority to make such decisions and that only I&B Ministry could make that list. A member told that the matter lies with the ministry now and that they would take a decision.

“The role of the chairperson and the board is merely recommending and advising the I&B. This became clear to Pahlaj Nihalani during the meeting. The decision whether or not the circular should be implemented now rests with the ministry”, he said. The new censor board team after the resignation of Leela Samson has been under a lot of criticism for making a mockery censorship and cinematic values.
