Challenges never stop, they only go to the next level: Yami Gautam

Actor Yami Gautam’s last release Kaabil brought her critical and commercial acclaim. The actor, who started out with a TV show and eventually bagged some big films, says that things do get tough for newcomers, but there is always something that keeps them going.

“When you are new, there are times when you find it tough dealing with disappointments and rejections. Challenges will not stop, they will only go to the next level but you can’t give up. You can’t make excuses. You are here for a reason. This is the thought which gets me going,” says Yami.

The actor got a break in Bollywood with Vicky Donor and there was no turning back. “It’s all about how you face your challenges,” she says.

Talking about her Kaabil co-star Hrithik Roshan, the actor says that she was very nervous working with him but Hrithik made her feel at ease. “I had all the reasons to be nervous. I had heard that Hrithik is a perfectionist,” recalls Yami. When the actor told Hrithik that she was very nervous, he replied that he was equally nervous. “The ice was broken. You have to work with him to believe that he is fantastic,” says Yami.
