Choreographer Ahmed Khan To Direct Hera Pheri 3

Here comes a good reason for avid lovers of Hera Pheri series to celebrate. Hera Pheri 3, which has long been grabbing the attention of media for several issues, will star the original cast and roll from October. According to recent reports, the third instalment of the hit comedy franchise will be helmed by famous choreographer Ahmed Khan.

Earlier, reports claimed that the flick will be made under the direction of Neeraj Vohra, who helmed the second iteration, Phir Hera Pheri. It was also reported that the third version, which was scheduled to hit silver screen this year, was pushed for a 2017 release due to over budget and lack of dates from actors. In addition, rumours were abuzz that the gem of the series, Akshay Kumar, will not be returning in the upcoming movie.

Revealing that all the issues have been resolved, a source close to the flick stated, "All issues including the ones Akshay had with the producer Firoz Nadiadwala have been sorted. Neeraj will focus on the screenplay and script while Ahmed is directing it. The film will roll from October this year”.

It was also known that actors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham will be new additions to the lead cast. However, the two walked out of the project. The source told that the script has been drastically modified to suit Akshay, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal.

Speaking about the third part, the source added, “The film will begin from where 'Phir Hera Pheri' ended with Raju fleeing with the gun. Now Baburao and Ghyanshyam will be searching for him”.
