    An award-winning British-Filipino flick ‘Metro Manila’ will now have an Indian touch, as the film is being remade by filmmaker Hansal Mehta. The director wants to put forth the story of original flick that depicts a farmer’s life. The movie features Rajkumar Rao and a newcomer Patralekha in lead roles.

    CityLights elaborates the tale of a Rajasthan based farmer, who comes to Mumbai along with his wife and daughter in hope of a better life. The couple takes up the challenge of a big city with their love for each other. The flick made under Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios banner, is produced by Vikram Bhatt. The original venture has received Sundance Film Festival Award, Amazonas Film Festival Award, British Independent Film Awards and a few more.
