When films about real life characters are made, the makers generally scout for look-alike actors; it seems that the makers of Dhoni’s biopic have found an apt actor to essay the role Yuvraj Singh. Actor Herry Tangri, who is popular for his roles in Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, will now be seen playing younger as well as mature version of the cricketer, who has recently got engaged. Talking about how he bagged the role, Herry said, “The film's casting director, Vicky Sidana, introduced me to Neeraj sir in October. He had seen me in the unreleased film Bhaangarh and was so impressed, he didn't even take my audition”.

The actor has revealed that he has been mistaken for Yuvraj Singh many times. Quoting one incident from Rajasthan, the actor said that a group of kids had approached him for autograph. “I quietly obliged. It happened to me twice”, he said. He further said that Yuvraj’s father had also taken note of his resemblance once.

The Punjabi actor said that although he has been playing cricket from quite long but still essaying the role of Yuvraj Singh has been tough for him. “I played cricket till the district level but I am a right hand batsman and Yuvi is a lefty. My coach, Mohit Chaturvedi, had to train me for a month before I got the stance right. The first few days were really difficult”, he said.
