Proof: Deepika Padukone Has NOT Removed Her RK Tattoo

The buzz around Deepika Padukone’s RK tattoo doesn’t seems to die down. The recent Bangladeshi ad for a popular soap brand has caught everyone’s attention. The ad shows Deepika flaunting a sari and interestingly, her infamous RK tattoo—that she got inked on the nape of her neck—is nowhere to be seen. This led to speculations whether the actor has finally removed the tattoo, which she got done while dating actor Ranbir Kapoor.

However, Deepika’s recent Met Gala appearance proves that the tattoo is very much there—at the same place. She even shared a photo on her Instagram page and wrote, “#metgala2017”. This means that the tattoo, which is invisible in the ad must have been camouflaged using makeup. Interestingly, the tattoo was also not visible in a soft drink ad the Piku actor did opposite Farhan Akhtar.

Deepika’s RK tattoo was the hottest talk of the town during her relationship with Ranbir. But for reasons best known to know, the two drifted apart and parted ways sometime back, and are now just friends. While Ranbir started dating Katrina Kaif, Deepika, too, found love in Ranveer Singh. Though Ranbir broke up with Katrina a while ago, Deepika and Ranveer still seem to be going strong.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old, who is currently shooting for with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, will be making an appearance in Cannes Film Festival, starting May 17. The actor was clicked at the Mumbai airport on Sunday evening just before she took a flight to attend the festival. Not just the fans, even fashion critics are excited to see Deepika’s red carpet look, as she makes her debut appearance at the Cannes.
