Deepika Padukone, Kiran Rao to do catwalk for a noble cause

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone will walk on the ramp together with Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao for Zarine Mehta’s Swades Foundation. It will be the first time when we will see Kiran doing a cat walk. TheDhobi Ghat’s director has said yes for the fashion show only because it is being organized for a noble cause of the rural empowerment. The other stars like Vaibhavi Merchant, Dia Mirza, Dino Morea, Nandita Mahtani, Jeetendra, Chetan Bhagat and the trio ofKai Po Che!will also be seen charming the evening.

The fashion event will feature the rural look theme of Maharashtra. Zarine’s NGO takes care of the aspects like employment, sanitation, water, health as well as education in over 200 villages of Maharashtra. The thesis of the show is gracious as it is something that will be benefiting the rural people of the state.
