Deepika Padukone named for Smita Patil Memorial Award

After the success of Cocktail, there is another feather in the cap of Deepika Padukone as the Bollywood diva has been selected for the biennial Smita Patil Memorial Award. The award, being given by Priyadarshni Academy, will be presented to the star on September 18 for her contribution to the film industry, chairman of Priyadarshni Academy, Nanik Rupani, said in a statement today.
