Deepika Padukone will be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s big screen adaptation of The Accidental Apprentice. The Accidental Apprentice is a book written by Vikas Swaroop. The book revolves around the story of a simple shop assistant who is given the opportunity to run a successful business empire if she can pass a series of seven tests.

The big screen adaptation of the book will require a strong female lead and Deepika appears to be the perfect candidate for the part. The Johnny Gaddaar and Badlapur director made up his mind to rope in the 29-year-old actress for quite some time. Raghavan finally managed to get Deepika to sign the contract for the film a few days back.

The Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actress is keen to start work on Raghavan’s latest project. Deepika’s schedule is jam packed with three film releases this year. The director is currently working on making improvements to the script and production for the film will commence by the end of this year or early in 2016.
