Deepika, Priyanka Dance-off in Bajirao Mastani

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are teaming tup for a dance number in Bajirao Mastani. It is said that the song is a Lavni special, which is choreographed by Remo D’Souza and his assistant Shampa. By what we hear, the song seems like a major dance-off sequence.

Shampa revealed that the Cocktail star and the Fashion actress are trained in different classical dance forms, Bharatnatyam and Kathak, respectively. The choreographer further said, “The girls really helped each other to get their postures correct. While both had different steps, they had to look like they come from the same era. The part where both had similar steps, it was tough to make it look perfect, because not only Deepika and Priyanka, but, the entire dance team had to perfect the feel and steps”.

“It was very difficult for us to shoot on the cemented floor, there were bruises and cuts and it took us 10 nights to complete the song shoot”, she added. It seems that lots of efforts have been put by the two stars and that makes audiences excited for this dance number.  The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial will hit the theatres on December 25.
