Bollywood’s emerging superstar Sushant Singh Rajput, who secured his niche in the Hindi film industry with his debut in Kai Po Che!, is working hard for his upcoming film, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. Sushant’s look has been completed with a neat little Hitler-moustache as he walks down the way holding his dhoti in a perfect Bengali way. The first look reveals Sushant has fit his character excellently. Based on the war-torn Calcutta of the 1940s, this Dibakar Banerjee-directed film, talks about Byomkesh’s fight against an evil mastermind who is out to destroy the world. When asked about Sushant’s selection for the role Dibakar said, “Sushant Singh Rajput has that dormant volcano thing about him that is just right for my Byomkesh. He looks so quiet, so self-absorbed and withdrawn - till you challenge him. Then he explodes and becomes the most dangerous man in the world - at least for the criminals.” The film, also starring Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee, is under production in full swing for its much-awaited December 12 release.
