Detective Byomkesh Bakshy fails the crucial Monday test, sees a big drop
After making an average run of Rs. 14 crores in its opening weekend, Dibaker Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy couldn’t hold itself very well on Monday. The film experienced a significant drop on Monday and collected around 1.8 crores.
The Sushant Singh Rajput starrer had opened to an average occupancy and had earned around 4.5 crores on the opening day. While the good reviews had made the film sail through well in the weekend, the Monday collections come as an alarming moment. The film has majorly suffered due to the Furious 7 wave at the box office and is not looking at a very impressive first week. However, with a low cost and average collections continuing to flow in, the makers can hope to recover the cost easily.
