Dev Anand’s death anniversary marked by unveiling his statue

B-Town’s evergreen actor Dev Anand’s life-size brass statue will be unveiled at the Bandra Bandstand Promenade on his fist death anniversary on Dec. 3.Dev Saabas known in the industry died of cardiac arrest last year in London when he was barely eighty eight years old.

The statue will be inaugurated by veteran actress Waheeda Rahman, who debuted opposite him in the 1956 filmC.I.D.and had also worked with the actor in seven movies. Dev Anand has delivered hits likeBaazi,Paying Guest,Guide,Jewel ThiefandHare Rama Hare Krishna.He debuted in the black and white classicHum Ek Hainand survived for sixty five years in the film industry.
