Here's Why Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt Won't Be Part Of Dhadkan 2

The sequel of the popular 2000 romantic-drama is in works...

There were many speculations lately that the announced sequel of the popular romantic drama, ‘Dhadkan’ is in development. There were reports that the sequel would have Shraddha Kapoor and Sooraj Pancholi as the leads. In fact, names of actors like Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt were also being talked about, but it has now been reported that the makers of ‘Dhadkan 2’ are likely to introduce new faces as the leads of the film.

A source close to the development of the film said, “The makers have decided to launch fresh faces in the film”. However, Ratan Jain, producer of the forthcoming sequel, remained mute. “It’s too early to disclose anything at the moment,” he said adding, “I don’t want to quote anything on the sequel. Things are in the scripting stage, so we will announce once we’re done with it.”

‘Dhadkan’, which released in 2002, was a love triangle story that featured Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar as the leads. The movie was one of the highest grossing films of the year. Reportedly, the sequel of this flick, touted to be named as ‘Dhadkan 2’, is to be made under the banner of Venus Pictures and veteran filmmaker Vikram Bhatt will be helming the project.
