    Dilip Kumar is stable now: Saira Banu

    Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was yesterday reported unwell because of sudden breathlessness, is now stable. His wife Saira Banu assured media of Dilip’s improved health, "He is stable, and we are praying he recovers fully. On September 13, he had viral fever and later he felt a little discomfort. So we decided to bring him to hospital. He is conscious right now. He had undergone open heart surgery 14 years ago."

    The 90-year-old was admitted to Lilavati hospital on Sunday late evening and is still under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU). According to a hospital’s spokesperson, the actor underwent myocardial infarction on Sunday. Naseem Khan, Maharashtra minorities development minister visited the hospital to look into Kumar’s health and commented, "I met Dilip saab's wife Saira Banu, who informed me that he would be under observation for two days."

    The film fraternity as well as ministers are inquiring about ailing actor’s health. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan also asked Saira Banu if Dilip Kumar is fine, as told by Guardian Minister for Mumbai suburbs Mr. Khan. The legendary actor is known with the name of Tragedy King and has worked in remarkable films like Mughal-e-Azam, Madhumati, Devdas, Ganga Jamuna etc.
