Director Vipul Shah makes a comeback in television

New Delhi -- Director Vipul Shah is making a comeback in television with a cross-cultural family comedy Bhai, Bhaiyya Aur Brother after ten years. "TV is challenging and needs time and commitment. It's more challenging than films because TV is more immediate. I was looking for a right opportunity and when Deven approached me with the script, I thought this is the kind of serial I was looking at. I have a special place for serials which initiate the importance of family in us. My show is light-hearted family drama where there is no scope for supremacy and double standards," Shah told PTI. Shah said that nothing has changed in the small screen industry all these years. "When I started making films, it was tough for me to focus on both the mediums. So, I quit TV and focused entirely on films because I had no background in it. But after ten years, it hasn't changed much. Only the plots of these soaps have changed," he said. The small screen industry rose to great heights with Mr. Bachchans efforts of hosting a show like KBC.
