Director Vishal Bhardwaj Reveals Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Starrer Is Delayed

According to latest reports, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan ’s next film to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj has been pushed back. The film is based on the short story of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Irfan and Deepoika last shared screen space in Piku , which starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

After Piku, this will be the second time the actors will be seen together on silver screen. However, due to the delay, fans have to wait to see their chemistry onscreen once again. Moreover, the news was confirmed by the director himself. Vishal took to his social media account to reveal the news.

He wrote, “Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during Padmaavat. While prepping, was transported to Maqbool days. Stunning look tests, can’t wait to start shoot. Sending pyaar & duaaen to my Ustara and Afshan”. Meanwhile, Deepika will play a female gangster in the film, which has been speculated to be a Sapna Didi biopic.
