Japinder Kaur’s Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend may not have released yet, but looks like the title is already creating a buzz among girls in Delhi. They seem to be worrying about the impact it may have on their as well as the city’s image. And it was actor Divyendu Sharma who defended the title when a girl grabbed him and questioned him about it.

According to sources, when the cast and crew of the film landed at the Delhi airport for the film’s promotions, a girl ran up to Divyendu and let off a barrage of accusations and questions stating how they are worried that the film’s title may affect the image of Delhi girls. However, the actor tried to explain that the movie doesn’t show Delhi girls in a bad light and on the contrary, it targets those boys who think girls are easy targets.

When asked about it, Divyendu says, “Believe me, nowhere in the film have we tried to show Delhi girls in a bad light. But I do feel that girls do need to be smarter today because the boys are such that it becomes necessary for the girls to be like this. And I tried to make the girl understand the same.”

Dilliwali Zaalim Girlfriend also features Ira Dubey, Jackie Shroff, Prachie Mishra and Pradhuman Singh, produced by Manjeet Kaur and Tarnpreet Singh. The film’s music is on T-series and is distributed by Waves Cinema and is slated for 20th March release.
