Dulari died an unsung death

Veteran actressDulari has died. Well, the actress who was being searched since a long time, in reality died in January this year. Dulari, in the last dregs of her life was staying in an old age home in Pune and was suffering fromAlzheimer. Charulata Jagtap, the daughter of the yesteryear actress informed about her mother through a social networking site, "My mother was 86 years old and she was suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. She had been bedridden for over two years."

Charulata used to take care of her mother but for the sake of her children, she had to move to Australia every now and then. When asked bya leading daily, it was learnt that even Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) was ignorant of the actress’ basic information. It was just providing financial help by transferring a token of money to her account but thegeneral secretary ofCINTAA,Dharmesh Tiwari mentioned, "We have not been intimated by the family. But about four months ago, the bank informed us that her account had been closed."

Dulari made her career debut withHamari Baat (1943) in which she played a small role. After that she worked in films likeDeewar(1975),Prem Rog(1982). The actress has done almost 135 films in her film career. In 1952, she got married to a sound recordist, Jagtap.
